Tickets will also be on sale in the City Hall atrium during the Festival.

All tickets will be held at will call and may be picked up from 6-8 pm, Friday, October 18 and from 9:30 am- 8pm, Saturday, October 19.
No Refunds. Open Seating only.

Storytelling Master Classes

Join us to hone your storytelling skills. Seasoned and beginning storytellers welcome. Tickets required and available for purchase in the atrium on a first-come, first served basis.

Tales with a Twist, The Storycrafters

9:00 — 10:30 a.m., McCallum Room, 4th floor

How can we work with tales of old and enjoy them in new way that expands our understanding of story? This and other questions are answered through the discussion, demonstration and participation in creative tale-twisting exercises.

The Lego™ Method of Storytelling,  Bil Lepp

Noon– 1:30 p.m.,  Children’s Program Room, 2nd floor

Learn to combine several stories and snippets of varying length and often diverse subject matter into one relatively coherent, interlocking piece.

The Healing Power of Story,  Kevin Kling

 Noon– 1:30 p.m.,  Children’s Program Room, 2nd floor

People use stories to cope with an ever-changing world. With so much time spent in front of screens, the need for stories and community is greater than ever before. Explore where stories come from, why we need to tell them, what is sacred, what is funny and how stories help us in times of loss, challenge and success.
